Great Question Liz – thanks so much. I found this on the Nature’s Best website – I have known these people for a log time and trust their information. Overall, Lavender seems to be the safest to use – and of course this is one of the potent anti-viral oils – so make good use of it – but do have a read here to learn more: Essential oils to consider Lavender (a.k.a. the Queen of essential oils): Useful for conditioning pets to feel safe (some vet surgeries even diffuse it to reassure panicky pets); may also help with insomnia,… Read more »

Thank you so much for posting this great question. Thyme definitely has an affinity for throat problems – and in fact, I remember – a very long time ago – that my Mum’s GP prescribed a Thyme gargle for her (when she had an agonising sore throat). You also mentioned Grape-seed-oil: this LOWERS blood pressure. Even with a foot massage! I know this from experience using the essential oils for my late husband, who was terminally ill and had Adrenal failure, With that, his blood pressure kept dropping. So take care everybody. Pure Essential oils are a… Read more »

Dear Martha, Thank you so much for your points here. I have undertaken some research to ascertain whether grape seed oil is noted in the literature as an anti-hypertensive. I have not been able to find any evidence of this – so please could you point me in the direction of your sources as I would love to read them. What we do know is that grape seed extract is a hugely potent anti-oxidant which has heart health benefits – along with numerous other health benefits. It is certainly worth looking at as a supplement. As regards the blood-pressure elevating… Read more »
