Harness the anti-ageing powers of herbs to get your mojo back

Suffering from lack of energy, hormonal imbalance and even reduced sexual desire?

Do not stress! Women of any age can balance hormone levels through the right mixture of herbs and supplements – keeping you biologically young through heightened energy and increased sex drive!

As such, I want to direct you towards the top 10 herbs and supplements that can keep hormonal systems young, vibrant and functioning!

Ashwagandha:

Ashwagandha has been shown to reduce stress hormones (i.e. cortisol) which disrupt endocrine function and can lead to premature ageing.

Additionally, Ashwagandha stimulates blood flow to the female reproductive organs, increasing sensitivity which can directly impact arousal levels.

You can use this herb to regain your sex drive and derive further sexual pleasure.

Additionally, menopausal women have reported a reduction in anxiety, depression and hot flushes.

Maca:

This root is also known as ‘Peruvian ginseng’ and for many thousands of years, the people of the Andes have used Maca root to address infertility, hot flushes, sexual dysfunction, sleep disruptions and even night sweats associated with menopause.

Women who use Maca commonly report greater sexual desire and improved sexual satisfaction.

Avena sativa:

Avena sativa (common oats) is a libido enhancer and can help to alleviate menstrual cramps and is a general aphrodisiac.

Avena sativa improves blood flow and at the same time stimulates the central nervous system, which encourages the physical and emotional desire for sex.

Catuaba bark:

This bark is known as a libido enhancer as it contains yohimbine which is a powerful aphrodisiac and stimulant for the central nervous system which provides better energy and a more positive mood.

Please note – caution should be used with yohimbine as it has been found by some people to over-stimulate them causing heart palpitations.

Epimedium:

Known as ‘horny goat weed’, women use this herb as it’s outstanding at relieving the effects of menopause. It has been found to replicate the actions of testosterone and is far more effective than many current drug therapies with limited report side effects.

Muira puama:

This herb is also referred to as ‘potency wood’, calms the nerves and relieves anxiety. It also increases blood flow to the pelvic area. Women who use Muira puama report increased sexual desire and more satisfying intercourse resulting in more intense orgasms.

Suma:

This is occasionally spoken of as ‘South American ginseng’. It is used to improve mood, encourage reproductive health and stimulate sexual desire. Research indicates Suma can increase levels of oestradiol 17 beta – a powerful sex hormone necessary for properly balanced hormone levels and reproductive health.

Shilajit:

Shilajit has been hushed for thousands of years in Indian and Chinese medicine to alleviate anxiety, lifts mood and stimulate overall health. Shilajit is formed from organic compressed plant material from the Himalayas and is packed with nutrients, amino acids and antioxidants.

Tongkat ali:

Tongkat ali is consistently referred to as the greatest aphrodisiac known to humankind. Tongkat also supports energy levels, improves cognitive function and creates positive responses to stress leading to optimal hormonal balance.

It is used across Southeast Asia by women who wish to stimulate increases the sensitivity of erogenous zones and increase libido.

Tribulus tetris

Tribulus tetris has a long-held reputation as an aphrodisiac as it stimulates androgen receptors in the brain and encourages the body to use hormones more efficiently.

Women who use the herb experience increased arousal, better sexual satisfaction and improved reproductive system health.

It is important to caveat that these herbs are most effective within women who are eating healthily, exercising, socialising with friends (yes, socialising adds around 9 healthy years to your life!) and limiting environmental toxins
